Larry Allen Nabs 2nd Bookie Pool Title!

It was all-or-nothing for Larry Allen, who bet the farm on the Giants and came away with another Bookie Pool title to go with his 1997 ring a decade ago. Paul Alaimo finished 2nd after a great run, Fred Williams finished 3rd, and Bill Willis snuck in to the 4th spot despite being 11th overall going into the conference championship games. BIll tied Neal Fausset in total play money, but won 4th place by virtue of a better winning percentage. Here are the Final Standings and Career Statistics. I have also updated the Photo Album to include all photos of the past.

For the 2nd consecutive year Brad Augustine won best percentage for plus 6 games. Bill Willis won the tie-breaker pool for the 3rd time in his career.

In Hall of Fame news, for the third straight year the winning percentage single season record was beaten, this time by Fred Williams whose .739 percentage surpassed Neal Faussett's .705 set last year. Larry Allen overtook Nan Batchelor for most real money won in a season by 1 dollar, and also overtook Al Buddy for most play money won in a career ($27,200). In Hall of Lame news, Al Buddy overtook John Lyon for worst career aggregate tie-breaker.

Wolfman Mundy's Corner: Pat has a message for 2nd place Paul Alaimo: "You look like #2, you clap like #2, and you smell like #2!", for which Paul responded: "I must be more near-sighted than I thought, since I can't see that far down to the bottom of the football pool. How is the view from the bottom up?"

Note from Commissioner: Here's the credit list showing how much you have coming, and how much you will owe next year. As in past years, if you have under $63 in winnings, unless I hear from you I'm going to assume you want it credited toward next year. If you have over $63, I'm going to subtract the $63 fee for next year and send you the balance. If you have a balance owed you, please either send me your address so I can mail you a check, or let me know if I can send it to your email address via PayPal. The commissioner's preferred method for both receiving and sending payments is PayPal. As in past years, I will wait about a week before sending payments, in case any errors are found in the Final Standings.

Thanks everyone, and hope to see y'all next year!
