It's
Buddy in a Blowout!
Nine year pool veteran Al Buddy won his first Bookie Pool Championship by
the largest margin in pool history. His final tally of $20200 surpassed pool
rookie and 2nd place finisher Dale Christianson by $15730. The previous largest
margin of victory was $10200 set by Larry Allen in 1997. Tim Sannes stormed
from the bottom of the pool three weeks ago to a 3rd place finish. For the
2nd consecutive year, Neal Fausset grabbed 4th place. Kale Gilmore's $8600
dump on St Louis was the second largest loss in pool history, rivaling Al
Buddy's $8800 loss in 1999. Here's the Final

For
the second consecutive year no new season records were established,
other than the two new entries I added for most wins and losses
to open a season. Several new career records changed
hands. In the Hall of Fame, Al
Buddy moved past Larry Williams for the most lifetime play money
won, and Tim Sannes moved past Mike Comstock for best +6 lifetime
winning percentage. In the Hall of
Lame, Bill Willis stormed past Larry
Wales for the biggest lifetime net real money contributor, solidifying
his claim to the memorial Larry
Wales Special Chair Award. On behalf of the
commissioner and all pool members, we again extend our warmest
thanks to Bill for his consistent and dedicated contributions
to the pool!
